Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. The rest of the day is reserved for relaxation and preparation for the exciting safari ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short tour of Arusha town or simply relax at your lodge and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, begin your safari with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. This park is well known for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and diverse wildlife population. During the game drive, you may encounter lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, and numerous bird species. The landscapes of Tarangire are breathtaking, offering excellent photography opportunities. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park before continuing the safari. Later in the evening, head to a nearby lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

On the third day, continue your safari to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The journey passes through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering scenic views and wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you will embark on an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah plains. The park is home to cheetahs, hyenas, lions, elephants, and thousands of grazing animals such as wildebeests and zebras. The evening will be spent at a lodge or luxury tented camp inside the park.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Serengeti 

Day four is dedicated entirely to exploring Serengeti National Park. You will spend the day on extensive game drives across different regions of the park. If traveling during the right season, this is the perfect opportunity to witness the incredible Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. You may also spot predators such as lions and leopards hunting in the open savannah. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the wilderness before returning to your camp for a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, depart for the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. This massive volcanic caldera is one of the most unique wildlife destinations in Africa. Once you descend into the crater, you will encounter an extraordinary concentration of animals including elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, and flamingos along the crater lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while surrounded by stunning scenery before continuing to a nearby lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Arusha and Flight to Zanzibar 

Begin the day with breakfast before driving back to Arusha. After lunch in town, you will transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a driver will take you to your beachfront resort where you can relax and enjoy the warm tropical atmosphere. Spend the rest of the day swimming in the Indian Ocean or unwinding by the beach.

Day 7: Stone Town and Spice Tour

You will get explore the historic heart of Zanzibar with a guided tour of Stone Town. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its winding alleys, carved wooden doors, bustling markets, and rich Swahili culture influenced by Arab, Persian, and European traders. After the city tour, visit a local spice plantation where you will learn about Zanzibar’s famous spice trade. You will see and taste fresh cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla before returning to your resort for an evening of relaxation.

Day 8: Safari Blue Excursion

Day eight features the famous Safari Blue excursion. This full-day adventure includes sailing on a traditional dhow boat to remote sandbanks, snorkeling in clear turquoise waters, and enjoying a seafood barbecue lunch on a small island. You will spend the day exploring the marine beauty of the Indian Ocean before returning to your resort for a peaceful evening by the beach.

Day 9: Beach Relaxation and Dolphin Tour

Today begins with a visit to Kizimkazi for a dolphin tour. Here you may have the opportunity to see or even swim near wild dolphins in their natural habitat. The rest of the afternoon is free for beach relaxation or optional activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, or exploring nearby villages. In the evening, enjoy a sunset dinner at a beachfront restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your departure flight. If time allows, you can take a final walk along the beach before leaving this tropical paradise.
