Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to a charming boutique hotel in Entebbe town. Entebbe, situated on the shores of Lake Victoria, is a peaceful and scenic town, offering opportunities for a relaxing sunset boat cruise on the lake to unwind after your flight. Enjoy a restful overnight stay in preparation for the adventure ahead.

 Day 2: Journey to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and embark on a scenic four-hour drive southwest toward Lake Mburo National Park. En route, you’ll stop at the Equator line for fun photo opportunities and to experience the famous water experiment. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, check into your lodge and later join a late afternoon game drive. This park, known for its diverse wildlife, offers chances to see Nubian giraffes, impalas, elands, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 3: Walking Safari and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day with an optional guided walking safari in Lake Mburo, allowing you to experience the African bush up close and observe wildlife on foot. After breakfast, begin the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, nestled in the breathtaking Kigezi Highlands. Known for its terraced hillsides, deep valleys, and shimmering lakes, Bwindi offers stunning landscapes alongside its famous gorilla inhabitants. Check into your lodge on the forest’s edge, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s exciting trek.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Rise early for a day you won’t forget. After breakfast, head to the park’s visitor center for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines provided by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Equipped with your trekking gear, packed lunch, and water, embark on the trek through challenging yet beautiful terrain. When you locate your assigned gorilla family, spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and later enjoy a community walk to learn about local culture and conservation efforts.

 Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise After breakfast, drive for about an hour from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular park. Begin your day with a thrilling game drive through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, relax on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 32-kilometer waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. This channel is a wildlife hotspot where you’ll see elephants, buffaloes, hippos, Nile crocodiles, and many bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park Start with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth to spot more wildlife before departing for Kibale National Park, known as the primate capital of the world. En route, admire the picturesque crater lakes scattered across the landscape. Kibale is home to 14 primate species, including chimpanzees, and over 300 bird species. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Walk

 Begin your day at Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a morning chimpanzee trek with experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Once the chimpanzee troop is located, spend one hour watching their natural behaviors like feeding, grooming, and playing. Return to the lodge for lunch, then in the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Take a guided swamp walk through this lush habitat, spotting primates, birds, and diverse plant life, while learning about local conservation efforts led by the Kibale Association for Rural Development. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

 After breakfast, travel approximately five hours north to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through stunning landscapes such as the Butiaba escarpment and views of Lake Albert. Murchison Falls is famous for the spectacular Nile River gorge, where the river forces its way through a narrow opening and plunges 45 meters into a thunderous waterfall. After checking into your lodge, embark on an evening game drive to spot Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeests, elephants, lions, leopards, and hyenas. Enjoy dinner and overnight in the heart of the savanna.

Day 9: Early Morning Game Drive and Nile River Boat Cruise

 Rise early for a game drive at dawn to maximize wildlife sightings, including predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas, as well as elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes. Return to the lodge for lunch, then set out on a scenic boat cruise along the Nile River towards the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, you’ll observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a rich variety of birdlife. The three-hour cruise provides stunning views of the falls from below and excellent photo opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Departure via Entebbe with Optional Rhino Tracking After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe. En route, you have the option to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a unique rhino tracking experience, Uganda’s only place to see rhinos in the wild. Continue to Entebbe for your departure flight home, marking the end of your unforgettable 10-day Uganda safari.
