Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience
Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. Led by expert trackers and rangers, embark on a journey into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the moment you find them is truly life changing. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants before trekking back. After a well deserved lunch, visit the Batwa pygmy community, the original forest dwellers of Bwindi. Experience their traditional music, storytelling, and hunting techniques, gaining insight into their deep connection with the forest.
