Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park

Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Mombasa in a comfortable safari van fitted with an openable pop-up roof for optimal game viewing. Enjoy a scenic drive through rural landscapes as you head toward the park. Arrive at Bachuma Gate, the main entrance to Tsavo East, where park formalities are completed before beginning your first game drive. As you venture into the park, look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and a wide variety of bird species roaming freely across the red-dust plains. Proceed to your lodge for check-in and lunch.  After some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive to further explore the park’s vast landscapes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Tsavo East

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. The soft morning light provides excellent photography opportunities and a chance to spot predators returning from the night’s hunt. After breakfast, continue exploring different sections of the park. Visit Aruba Dam, a popular watering hole that attracts elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.

Discover the dramatic scenery of Mudanda Rock, a natural rock outcrop offering sweeping views of the surrounding plains and waterholes. You may also catch sight of the impressive Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows. Enjoy lunch at the lodge, followed by leisure time to relax by the pool or watch wildlife from the lodge’s viewing deck. Later in the afternoon, embark on another game drive to maximize your wildlife sightings. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Final Game Drive & Return to Mombasa

Begin your final day with an early morning game drive, offering one last opportunity to spot the iconic red elephants of Tsavo, along with lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out. En route to the park exit, enjoy a short game drive as you bid farewell to the wilderness. Exit via Bachuma Gate and begin your scenic drive back to Mombasa, arriving at your hotel in the afternoon with unforgettable safari memories.
