Day 1 - Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park 

Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Dar es Salaam. Meet your professional guide and depart for Nyerere National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through rural landscapes and small Tanzanian towns. Upon arrival at your lodge or camp near the park, check in and enjoy lunch at the accommodation while taking in the peaceful natural surroundings. After lunch and some relaxation, head out for a boat safari on the Rufiji River, one of the park’s most famous waterways. During the boat ride, you will have the opportunity to observe wildlife from a unique perspective, including hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and other animals that gather along the riverbanks. The calm waters and beautiful sunset views make this a memorable introduction to the park. After the excursion, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 2 - Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for a full day game drive in Nyerere National Park, exploring its vast wilderness, open plains, river channels, and woodland habitats. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wild dogs, and numerous antelope species. Your guide will help track animals and share insights about the park’s ecosystem and wildlife behavior. Enjoy a packed lunch or lunch at a scenic picnic site within the park, surrounded by nature. Continue the afternoon game drive searching for more wildlife and enjoying the beautiful landscapes before returning to your lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. 

Day 3 - Bush Walking Safari & Return to Dar es Salaam 

Begin the day early with a guided walking bush safari inside Nyerere National Park, accompanied by a professional guide and an armed ranger for safety. This walking experience offers a completely different perspective of the African wilderness. During the walk, you will focus on birdwatching, animal tracks, plants, and smaller wildlife, learning about the ecosystem and survival skills of animals in the bush. The guide will share fascinating information about the environment and how animals interact with their surroundings. After the walking safari, return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out and begin the journey back to Dar es Salaam. Enjoy the scenic drive as you head back to the city, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or airport in the afternoon.
