Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Kampala, heading southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes approximately 8-10 hours, passing through scenic landscapes, rolling hills, and small towns along the way. A stopover at the Equator allows for photos and a brief experience of this unique geographical landmark. Lunch is enjoyed en route in Mbarara before proceeding through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa." Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon or evening, check in, and relax in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and allocation of trekking groups. Venture into the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family, an experience that can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once found, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their rich cultural heritage, traditional forest survival skills, and way of life before their relocation from the forest. The experience includes storytelling, traditional dances, and an opportunity to interact with the Batwa people. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer Back to Kampala
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before starting the return journey to Kampala. The drive follows the same scenic route with another stopover in Kayabwe at the equator for lunch, visit the craft shops to pick up souvenirs. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and drop-off at your hotel.
