Day 1 - Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park & Evening Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Dar es Salaam. Meet your professional guide and depart for a scenic drive toward Mikumi National Park, passing through rural landscapes, small towns, and beautiful countryside. Along the way, stop at a local restaurant for lunch and a short rest before continuing the journey to the park. Upon arrival at Mikumi National Park in the afternoon, check in and prepare for your evening game drive. During the game drive, explore the open savannahs and plains of the park while searching for wildlife such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, and possibly lions. Mikumi is known for its wildlife rich Mkata Floodplain, which offers excellent viewing opportunities. After the game drive, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Day 2 - Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park 

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for a fullday game drive in Mikumi National Park, exploring different areas of the park known for their abundant wildlife and scenic landscapes. The morning game drive takes you through the famous Mkata Floodplain, a vast savannah that attracts many animals including elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and predators. Enjoy the beauty of Tanzania’s wilderness while your guide helps spot wildlife and share insights about the park’s ecosystem. After lunch, continue your exploration by visiting areas such as Chamgore and surrounding landscapes, where wildlife sightings and beautiful views of the park are common. The afternoon drive offers another chance to see animals that become more active later in the day. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation after a full day of wildlife exploration. 

Day 3 - Return to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam by road. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Tanzanian countryside with optional short stops along the way for refreshments and photos. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam in the afternoon, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or airport, marking the end of your memorable Mikumi safari experience.
