Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

The journey begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, heading northwest toward Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. This is a rare opportunity to see Uganda’s only wild rhinos in their natural habitat. After an exciting trek, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge, relax, and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the park as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Wake up early for an exhilarating morning game drive through the park’s savannah plains. This is the perfect time to spot wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. The experienced guide will navigate through prime wildlife areas to maximize sightings. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. This boat ride provides an up close view of hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. The highlight is reaching the bottom of the falls, where the Nile crashes through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular natural wonder.

Day 3: Hike to the Top of the Falls

Start the day with a guided hike to the top of Murchison Falls. This short but rewarding trek offers breathtaking views of the powerful waterfall as it forces its way through a 7 meter wide rock crevice before plunging 45 meters into the river below. The roar of the falls and the misty spray create an unforgettable experience. Take in panoramic views of the Nile and the surrounding wilderness before descending back to the lodge for relaxation. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the lodge’s amenities or taking an optional nature walk.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala

After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin the journey back to Kampala. Enjoy the scenic drive through rural Uganda with an optional stop for lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of an incredible adventure in Murchison Falls National Park.
