Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, embarking on a scenic drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, marvel at Uganda’s picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and rural villages. A lunch stop in Mbarara offers a chance to stretch and enjoy the local cuisine before proceeding through the breathtaking Kigezi Highlands. Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi in the evening, check in, and relax as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Wake up early and have breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Trek through the dense jungle, following your guides in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once found, spend an unforgettable hour observing these majestic primates in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for a well deserved rest, allowing time to reflect on this incredible wildlife experience.

Day 3: Batwa Community Experience

After breakfast, take part in an enriching cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies, the indigenous people of the bwindi forest. Learn about their traditional way of life, hunting techniques, medicinal plants, and ancient survival skills. Enjoy their storytelling and cultural performances before heading back to your lodge for a relaxed afternoon, taking in the tranquility of the rainforest.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala

Following breakfast, begin the return journey to Kampala. Enjoy a stop at the Equator for photo opportunities and souvenir shopping before continuing to the city.
