Day 1 - Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, residence, or airport in Dar es Salaam. Meet your professional safari guide and begin the journey to Ruaha National Park by road. The drive takes you through beautiful Tanzanian landscapes, rural villages, and small towns, offering a glimpse of local life along the way. You will make several stops during the journey for refreshments and a lunch break at a local restaurant before continuing toward the park. Upon arrival at Ruaha National Park in the late afternoon, proceed to your lodge or camp for check in. After settling in, enjoy a relaxing evening followed by dinner at the lodge. Overnight stay at the lodge or camp inside or near the park. 

Day 2 - Game Drive in Ruaha National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for a full day exploring Ruaha National Park. The park is famous for its large population of elephants and predators, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. During the game drive, you will travel through diverse landscapes such as open savannah, rocky hills, and baobab forests while searching for wildlife. Around midday, enjoy lunch inside the park at a designated picnic site surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive while exploring more areas of the park. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation. 

Day 3 - Full Day Game Drive & Great Ruaha River Visit

After an early breakfast, depart for another full day game drive in Ruaha National Park. Today you will explore more remote areas of the park, including a visit to the Great Ruaha River, one of the park’s most important water sources and a prime location for wildlife viewing. The river attracts many animals such as elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, hippos, and numerous bird species. It is also an excellent location to spot predators searching for prey. During the day, you will stop for a picnic lunch inside the park while enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings. Continue exploring the park in the afternoon before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight relaxation. 

Day 4 - Ruaha National Park to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam. The drive will take you through the towns of Iringa and Morogoro, offering scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside. Along the way, you will stop for lunch and short breaks to relax before continuing the journey. Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or airport, marking the end of your memorable Ruaha safari experience.
