Day 1: Transfer to Fort Portal
Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Kampala, travelling west toward Fort Portal. Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling hills, lush countryside, and tea plantations. Along the way, you may stop at Mubende for refreshments and a short break. Upon arrival in Fort Portal, check in at your hotel and relax. If time allows, take a short town tour, visit local markets, or enjoy a sunset view of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 2: Amabeere Caves and Crater Lakes Exploration
After breakfast, visit the legendary Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru Caves, a fascinating cultural and natural site associated with ancient Tooro kingdom folklore. Explore the stalactite caves while learning about the myths and traditions connected to the area. Afterwards, embark on a scenic hike around the surrounding crater lakes, enjoying breathtaking landscapes and opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife. After lunch, visit the historic Karuzika Palace, the royal residence of the King of Tooro, for insight into the region’s cultural heritage. Day 3: Semuliki National Park Adventure
Today you will visit Semuliki National Park, a unique park known for its tropical lowland forest ecosystem. One of the highlights is the famous Sempaya Hot Springs, where boiling water bubbles from the earth. Learn about the cultural beliefs surrounding these hot springs and observe how locals sometimes cook eggs in the natural boiling water. A guided nature walk through the forest provides opportunities to spot birds, primates, butterflies, and unique plant species. After a picnic lunch, visit a nearby Batwa community, where you will learn about their traditional lifestyle, forest survival skills, and cultural practices. Return to Fort Portal in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
