Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Walking Safari

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe or Kampala, heading southwest to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive offers scenic views of Uganda’s countryside, dotted with small towns, farms, and rolling hills. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and check in at the lodge. Later in the evening, set out on a guided walking safari within the park. This unique experience allows you to explore the wilderness on foot while observing wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and various bird species at close range. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive across the savannah plains of Lake Mburo National Park. Look out for impalas, buffaloes, elands, zebras, and possibly leopards. The early morning light also offers excellent opportunities for photography. After breakfast, relax at the lodge before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. During the cruise, you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds along the shoreline. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, traveling through scenic landscapes characterized by rolling hills, banana plantations, and lush forests. Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for photographs and interact with local communities. Arrive at Bwindi in the afternoon and check in at your lodge located near the forest. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the exciting gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, venture into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants as they interact, feed, and move through the forest. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience where you will learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, hunting skills, and use of medicinal plants. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala. Along the way, you may stop at the Uganda Equator Line for photographs and souvenir shopping. Continue the scenic drive and arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of your memorable safari adventure.
