Description:

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park Your safari adventure begins with a scenic four-hour drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the park's stunning natural beauty. In the late afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive—an ideal time to witness the park's diverse wildlife. Approaching from the east, the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment provides a breathtaking backdrop to the lake. Within the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys can be seen leaping from branch to branch, while elephants often gather in the shade along the escarpment. The park is home to a variety of animals including zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and many more. Your evening will be spent relaxing and soaking in the surroundings at either Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or the Twiga Lodge and Campsite.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll head toward Serengeti National Park, with a fascinating stop at Olduvai Gorge en route. The drive takes approximately three to four hours. Olduvai Gorge, set within the eastern plains of the Serengeti, is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and offers a glimpse into early human history. The area's striking landscape was shaped by the same tectonic activity that formed the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. After your visit, the journey continues into the Serengeti, where you will arrive in the late evening and settle in for the night at either the Serengeti Seronera Wildlife Camp or the luxurious Four Seasons Serengeti Lodge.

Day 3: Exploring Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to discovering the heart of the Serengeti. After breakfast, you'll set off on a full-day game drive across the vast savannahs. With your picnic lunch packed, you can explore at your own pace and take time to enjoy the region's rich biodiversity. The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famed for hosting the largest concentration of plains game in the world. Whether it's the big cats, large herds of wildebeest, or the countless other species that inhabit these lands, the day promises unforgettable encounters. In the evening, return to your accommodation at either Serengeti Seronera Wildlife Camp or the Four Seasons Serengeti Lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti behind and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once you arrive, you’ll descend into the crater for an afternoon of game drives. The Ngorongoro Crater offers a unique wildlife viewing experience, with a high chance of spotting the elusive black rhino, as well as large prides of lions, including the impressive black-maned males. The crater is also a haven for colorful flamingos and a wide variety of water birds. Other animals frequently seen here include leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, antelope, and numerous small mammals. As the sun begins to set, you'll ascend from the crater and continue to your overnight stay at either the SIMBA Campsite or Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Your final day begins with an early breakfast and a packed picnic lunch as you descend once more into the crater for a morning game drive. This day offers another opportunity to observe the incredible diversity of wildlife within this natural amphitheater, including the famous Big Five. Around midday, you'll enjoy your picnic lunch at one of the crater's scenic picnic spots. In the afternoon, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport in time for your departing flight. Alternatively, if your travel plans continue, you can proceed to your booked accommodation in Moshi for an overnight stay.
