Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe as you travel westward to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic drive takes you through rolling hills, small rural communities, and lush tea plantations, giving you a glimpse of Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Along the way, you will stop in Fort Portal for lunch before continuing to the park. Upon arrival, check in at Kikorongo Safari Lodge and relax while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding savannah landscape. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
The day begins with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the best areas for wildlife viewing. As the sun rises over the savannah, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and various antelope species. The golden morning light also provides excellent opportunities for photography. After returning to the lodge for lunch, the afternoon will be spent on a relaxing boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. During the cruise, you will observe large pods of hippos, crocodiles basking along the shores, elephants drinking at the water’s edge, and a wide variety of bird species. After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge
After breakfast, you will head to Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure. Often referred to as the “Valley of Apes,” this dramatic gorge is covered in lush tropical forest and contrasts beautifully with the surrounding savannah landscape. Guided by experienced trackers, you will trek through the forest in search of chimpanzees and observe them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact. After the trekking experience, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or enjoying optional nature walks. Dinner and overnight will be at Kikorongo Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Boat Cruise
Following breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park. The journey offers scenic views of Uganda’s rolling hills and countryside landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at Rwakobo Rock Lodge before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The lake is home to hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species, including the rare African finfoot. The calm waters and peaceful scenery provide a relaxing experience after the day’s travel. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Walking Safari
The day starts with an early morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, where you may spot zebras, giraffes, elands, impalas, and other wildlife unique to the park. Since elephants are not present in Lake Mburo, the park allows for special activities such as guided walking safaris. After breakfast, you will enjoy a walking safari accompanied by an experienced ranger, offering a rare opportunity to explore the savannah on foot and observe animals like zebras and antelopes at close range. The afternoon is free for relaxation or optional activities such as horseback riding or birdwatching. Dinner and overnight will be at Rwakobo Rock Lodge.

Day 6: Return to Entebbe via the Uganda Equator
After breakfast, you will begin the journey back to Entebbe. Along the way, you will stop at the famous Uganda Equator Crossing for photographs and souvenir shopping. After the stop, continue the drive to Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon and marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
