Day 1: Journey to the Wild – Arrival and Exploration at Lake Mburo National Park

Your exciting Uganda safari begins early as your guide picks you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. The drive to Lake Mburo National Park takes about four hours, offering beautiful views of the Ugandan countryside along the way. En route, you will pass through the Ishasha sector, famed for its rare tree-climbing lions. Today marks the highlight of your safari — gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early morning briefing at the park headquarters, you will be assigned to a gorilla family and accompanied by experienced trackers and armed rangers. Trekking through the dense forest, you will be rewarded with a rare and unforgettable opportunity to observe a family of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat for one hour.
