Day 1: Arrival and Kampala City Tour

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to Kampala for a guided city tour. Discover some of the capital’s most important landmarks, including the Uganda Museum, the historic Kasubi Tombs, and the bustling Owino Market. You will also enjoy a cultural performance at the Ndere Cultural Centre, where traditional music and dance showcase Uganda’s rich heritage. Later, check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart Kampala for a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, often referred to as the primate capital of the world. The journey offers breathtaking views of lush countryside, tea plantations, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax while preparing for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

Start the day with an early briefing before heading into the forest for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will track chimpanzees through the forest and observe them in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the beautiful Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area known for its diverse birdlife, monkeys, and unique vegetation. After the walk, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart Kibale and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic crater lakes region. This area offers stunning views of volcanic lakes surrounded by lush hills. Day 5: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, an excellent area for spotting wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The cruise provides excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants along the shoreline, and a wide variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Continue through beautiful countryside landscapes until you arrive at your lodge in Bwindi for relaxation and dinner.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

Today marks one of the highlights of your safari—gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early briefing, you will trek into the dense rainforest with experienced guides in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants as they interact in their natural environment. In the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, music, and cultural heritage. After this enriching experience, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer Back to Kampala and Entebbe
