Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the peaceful lakeside town of Entebbe. Nestled along the shores of Lake Victoria, Entebbe offers a calm introduction to your East African adventure. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a relaxed visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or simply unwind at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most iconic park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting guided rhino tracking experience on foot,the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Continue your journey north and, upon arrival in the park, visit the top of the breathtaking Murchison Falls, where the Nile River dramatically squeezes through a narrow gorge. Proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight. 

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

Rise early for a morning game drive across the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. Keep an eye out for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. After lunch, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the Victoria Nile toward the base of the falls. Along the riverbanks, you’ll spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and an abundance of birdlife. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey to Kibale National Park, famously known as the primate capital of East Africa. Travel through changing landscapes of rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages, offering a glimpse into Uganda’s countryside. Arrive in the late afternoon, check into your forest lodge, and enjoy dinner surrounded by nature.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

Head to the forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale. Accompanied by experienced guides, track these intelligent primates and observe their fascinating behaviors in the wild. After lunch, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk through this rich ecosystem, home to monkeys, birds, and vibrant plant life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After breakfast, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. This is one of the best places in Africa to view large concentrations of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and water birds. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 7: Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha

Begin the day with a morning game drive before heading south through the Ishasha Sector, renowned for its rare tree climbing lions often seen resting in fig trees. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dense rainforest and mountain gorillas. Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, and prepare for the next day’s highlight. 

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, head into the forest for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi. Guided by expert trackers, trek through dense vegetation until you encounter a habituated gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants up close. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, music, and culture. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 9: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Golden Monkey Trekking

After breakfast, cross the border into Rwanda and continue to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, set out for a golden monkey trekking experience. These lively and endangered primates are known for their playful nature and vibrant appearance. Return to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 10: Dian Fossey Grave Trek

Today, embark on a rewarding hike through the volcanic slopes of Volcanoes National Park to visit the final resting place of Dian Fossey. Learn about her extraordinary work in protecting mountain gorillas and her lasting conservation legacy. Return to your lodge for a restful evening.

Day 11: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and Canopy Walk

After breakfast, journey south to Nyungwe National Park, one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests. In the afternoon, experience the thrilling canopy walk, suspended high above the forest floor, offering panoramic views and a unique perspective of the jungle ecosystem. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 12: Colobus Monkey Tracking

Set out early for a guided trek to track black-and-white colobus monkeys, known for their striking coats and social behavior. Nyungwe is home to large troops, making this an exciting and rewarding experience. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the tranquility of the forest.

Day 13: Lake Kivu Excursion and Sunset Boat Cruise

After breakfast, transfer to the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon before heading out on a sunset boat cruise to Napoleon Island. Take in the stunning scenery, fresh lake breeze, and golden sunset views. Overnight near the lake.

Day 14: Kigali City Tour and Departure

After breakfast, travel to Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and most vibrant cities. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a moving historical experience, and explore local markets and cultural sites. Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
