About this tour

Day 1 - Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Pick up from your hotel or preferred location in Dar es Salaam in the morning and begin the scenic drive to Mikumi National Park. Arrive at your lodge in time to relax and have lunch at the accommodation. In the late afternoon, embark on your evening game drive to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and other wildlife along the Mkata Floodplain. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 2 - Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy the savannah plains, riverine forests, and open grasslands while spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and various bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch, afternoon relaxation, and an optional short game drive before dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 3 - Mikumi to Ruaha National Park 

After breakfast, depart Mikumi and drive to Ruaha National Park, passing through scenic Tanzanian landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch at the accommodation. In the afternoon, go on a game drive in Ruaha, known for large elephant herds, lions, leopards, buffalo, and diverse birdlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 4 - Full Day Game Drive in Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, embark on a full day game drive exploring Ruaha’s varied habitats, from acacia savannahs to riverine forests. Enjoy wildlife spotting, photography, and observing predator prey interactions in one of Tanzania’s largest national parks. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation, followed by dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 5 – Ruaha to Udzungwa Mountains 

After breakfast, depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park, a lush rainforest and mountainous region. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch at the accommodation. In the afternoon, participate in activities such as bike riding and village tours, immersing yourself in local culture and scenic surroundings. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 6 - Hiking Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After breakfast, embark on a guided full day hike in Udzungwa Mountains, exploring tropical forest trails, spotting endemic wildlife, and learning about local flora and fauna from your guide. Return to your lodge for lunch, relax in the afternoon, and enjoy dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 7 - Forest Walk & Return to Dar es Salaam

After an early breakfast, enjoy a short forest walk in Udzungwa for final nature observations and birdwatching. Afterwards, check out and begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam, stopping for refreshments or photos along the scenic route. Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your adventure.
