1 Day Kiambethu Tea Farm

Your day begins with a 9:00 AM departure from Nairobi, heading northwest toward Limuru. Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling hills and lush greenery as you approach the Tigoni area. The first stop is Tigoni Tea Farm, arriving around 10:15 AM. Here, you’ll take a short guided walk through the tea fields, learn about tea cultivation and harvesting techniques, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. After a brief break for tea and light refreshments, you’ll proceed to Kiambethu Tea Farm, just a few minutes’ drive away. By 11:30 AM, you’ll be welcomed with a cup of freshly brewed tea and an introduction to the farm’s history, one of the first in Kenya to grow and process tea. A guided forest walk follows, where you might spot colobus monkeys and learn about local medicinal plants and trees. At 1:00 PM, a three-course lunch made from farm-fresh ingredients is served on the veranda or in the garden, accompanied by views of the surrounding tea fields. After lunch, you’ll have time to relax, take photos, or explore the garden before departing around 3:30 PM. You’ll begin your return journey to Nairobi, arriving back in the city between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.
