3 Days Masai Mara Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel early morning and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, stopping en route to admire the stunning views. Arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch and check-in at the lodge or camp of your choice. Later in the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive to spot the incredible wildlife that Masai Mara is renowned for.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara Game Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring Kenya’s premier wildlife park. Morning and afternoon game drives will take you through the vast open savannahs and fertile riverine woodlands along the Mara and Talek rivers, searching for Africa’s famous Big Five — lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos — as well as numerous other species like giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and more.
On clear evenings, capture the magnificent orange-tinged sunsets that paint the Mara landscape. Optionally, you can take a breathtaking hot-air balloon ride for an unparalleled aerial view of the wildlife teeming below. Return to camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi

Wake early to enjoy a spectacular sunrise and the peaceful morning atmosphere. After breakfast, depart Masai Mara and begin the scenic journey back to Nairobi. On request, your driver can arrange a visit to a traditional Maasai Village ($20 per person), where you’ll be entertained with Maasai dances and gain insight into their vibrant culture and lifestyle.
You will arrive back in Nairobi late afternoon, with drop-off at your apartment or the airport.
Accommodation: Leisurely drive back to Nairobi.
